The Wardens act as your first port of call for help and support for any matters relating to life in halls. The Wardening team are here for your safety, well-being and discipline – but also to make sure the Hall runs smoothly and you have an enjoyable first year at university. Gabor Hall has a Warden, and three Sub-Wardens (who together make up the Wardening team). The wardening team are here for you, so don’t hesitate to stop by or approach anyone of us if you see us in the hall. We wish you a very happy and successful year, and look forward to meeting you all! Meet the Wardening team below.

Hi, I'm Simon and the Warden of Gabor Hall. I'm an Honorary Researcher in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology. I live on the fifth floor with my wife Amelia, and my two kids, Sonny who is almost 8 and Margot who is 5. I lived in student halls during my undergrad at Bath and also abroad in Rotterdam whilst working at Erasmus MC, so I'm familliar with the apprehension that some of you may be feeling. We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming environment in Gabor and if you ever have any problems, please do get in touch.

I’ve been at Imperial for 6 years and I’m now a second year PhD student working to design an injector for cell replacement therapy in the eye. I love music, especially playing trumpet in the IC Big Band and also enjoy trying out new recipes and playing soccer. I live in room M54 and am excited to get to know all of you!

Hi, I’m Jasmin, one of the Subwardens in Gabor. I’m a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, working on criticality safety in the nuclear industry. I also did my undergrad at Imperial, so I’ve been here for 5 years now! In my free time I enjoy music, hockey, cycling and gaming. If you have any questions about life at Imperial, or any problems you’d like to discuss, feel free to get in touch – I hope you all have wonderful time here and look forward to meeting you!
